Duration

Your program must be between 12 and 52 weeks. Validity depends on course length:

  • 6-month course: Visa valid for 6 months.
  • 3-year program: Visa valid for 3 years.
  • Below 10 months: 1 extra month granted.
  • Over 10 months: 2 extra months granted.
  • Over 10 months (ends Dec): 3 extra months granted.

Cost

The current fees to apply for a Student Visa (Subclass 500) are set to $2000 AUD.

Visa Extension

You can renew your Student Visa as many times as you want, provided you meet the requirements:
